Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Formal Title: "River Monster"
A monster lurks beneath the surface of the waters of a lazy river. The crocodile lies in wait for some unsuspecting victim to wander too close to the water's edge. A few bubbles might disturb the water, but this massive carnivorous reptile remains perfectly still, like a tooth filled trap just waiting to spring upon it's next meal.
In this scene, you get to see this frightening animal up close. It sits in shallow water among small stones and aquatic plants. The tooth filled snout points in your direction and it focuses its reptilian gaze upon you.
Crocs and gators are creatures that have always fascinated me. The species have barely changed since the time of the dinosaurs. Alligators generally don't live the waters of the Metro Atlanta area, but one was found recently in the Chattahoochee river only a few miles from me which inspired me to create a few artworks depicting these frightening creatures. Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
