I was thrilled to discover your website and find that you were offering multiple products with the image of the Filben Maestro as my grandfather, William Filben, was the inventor. I will be framing this photo for my home and anticipate ordering many other items in the near future for my large extended family

When I saw this photo of my hero, I had to obtain it because as you can see in the photo, I have Babe Ruth when he was young & strong initially with the Yankees. I want to truly thank the artist for his photo!

Terrific concert photo of Madonna back in the '80s. I hope the owner of this series featured in Life Magazine will make more available. They are stunning.

Artist's Description
June 4, 1942, 7:10 a.m. B-26 Marauder bombers fitted with torpedoes attacking the Japanese fleet during the Battle of Midway. First Lieutenant James Muri piloting 'Susie-Q' released his torpedo from an altitude of 150 feet. In a last second decision in an attempt to avoid being hit by the heavy anti-aircraft fire, Muri turned and flew down the length of the flight deck of his target, the aircraft carrier Akagi, gunners strafing as they buzzed the deck at low level.

Congrats on your sale; evocative image. It's especially interesting to me since my father worked with the design team that built that "widow maker". I recall when I was a kid hearing the old war stories that the people that knew the aircraft were not sure whether the widows were Japanese or American. The Japanese part was obvious, but the plane was also known to be both high performance and really gnarly to fly until it was fitted with wings that generated more lift that saved some of the pilots.
